The toga worn by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, during his self-defense plea, "The history of acquittal," presided over the act of inauguration as judges of 49 legal professionals, of the Provincial Court Popular (TPP) of Havana.
Held in the southern chamber of the National Capitol, not yet open to the public, and with the presence of the president of the People's Supreme Court (TSP), Rubén Remigio Ferro; the member of the Central Committee of the Party and its First Secretary in the capital, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar; and the president of the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power (APPP) of the territory, Reynaldo García Zapata; The new judges swore to fulfill the honorable mission of administering justice by being worthy continuators of the work of Céspedes, Agramonte, Martí, Mella and Fidel, eternal Cuban jurists.
“The new judges commit ourselves to assume with high sense of responsibility and integrity the role that is deposited today, as well as make the most of the valuable knowledge of the work group that welcomes us and have as a premise that our work requires continuous improvement professional and personal ”, meant the young professional judge of the TPP of Havana, Liliana González Pérez.
The solemn act was timely to deliver special awards to the APPP and the Office of the Historian of the Cuban capital, for the work carried out in order to dress elegance and splendor to the city of all Cubans on the occasion of the celebrations for its half millennium of life.
