Second edition of the course for Cuban judges in Russia has been closed

September 14th, 2018

On Thursday, the second professional development course for judges of the Supreme People's Court of the Republic of Cuba, sponsored by the State University of Justice of Russia, was closed in the Russian city of Voronezh.

During the ceremony, Viacheslav Zariaev, director of the university branch in Voronezh, congratulated the judges, wished them success and expressed the desire to redirect the course next year.

For his part, the third secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Russia, Alexei Hernández Perenzuela, thanked the Supreme Court and the University of the Russian Federation for the warm welcome received by the magistrates during these two weeks, as well as for the quality of the course and the high qualification of the faculty that taught it.

He also assured that the realization of this type of programs contributes to strengthen the exchange of experiences between the judicial institutions of both countries, and is a reflection of the excellent state of bilateral relations.

Hernández Perenzuela took the opportunity to invite Russian colleagues to participate in the tenth edition of the Justice and Law event, to be held in the year 2020. He ended his speech with congratulations to the students for their satisfactory results.

The requalification courses, initiated in June 2017, have already allowed the requalification of 23 judges from the largest of the Antilles.
